Misunderstanding

Sun Feb 26, 2006, 3:59 PM
I have recieved two comments that. . .bothered me, in one way or another. So, I am here to clarify a few things that seem not to have been clear before.

1. We are faving artistic nudity. If it's in the faves, we find it artistic and NOT pornographic. Why would an anti-smut group fave smut? Hmmm? I don't know either, therefore, WE DON"T DO THAT.

2. We are not attacking the erotic industry. We are not prudes. I'm sure we all enjoy a nice dirty picture or movie or story every now and then. I know I do. However, I don't come to dA to find my erotic material. I go to a website that specializes in the erotic. When I come to dA, I come to find something that has a deeper meaning than flesh, something that took a lot of effort to produce, etc. Not somebody who pointed a camera and punched the shutter in the direction of someone's genatiles/breasts, converted it to B&W, or who scribbled some "boobies" and/or an "obese/pregnant female" without really putting any effort into it what so ever and call it art.

3. We do not condone flaming. We do not encourage others to go around berating those we don't agree with. We are simply exercising our rights to sit in our little cornor and complain to each other, bond over something we all have in common. Flaming is the sign of an immature person, a person who has not learned how to handle disappointment, differences, arguments, or debates and, perhaps, life in general.

4. Did we hurt your feelings? Too stinking bad, buddy, because if you can't handle us, how are you going to function out in the real world? There are tons of things to be worrying about besides a tiny group of people who expressed an opinion contrary to yours. There are TONS of people out there who disagree with you, pal, and part of life is dealing with that. You don't have to like them or hate them. People are entitled to their own opinions.

I think that's all for now. If there is anything I left out let me know.

:bulletred: If you know of a artistic nude picture of any kind, please send me a note with a link and a brief description of why you thought it was artistic.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR PICTURE HAVING BEEN FAVED, PLEASE NOTE ME AND I WILL REMOVE IT FROM OUR FAVORITES GALLERY.

Thanks for stopping by! :wave:

[Edit] Hi! ^_^ I know, I know. I've been bad. I haven't checked this in, like, months. Forgive me.

'We are all for nudity, but done in an artistic manner. If we wanted pornography, we'd go to a porn site, not an art site.'

I am very sorry to say this, but I don't think you know the difference between pornographyic influenced art, or nudity... I don't want to sound bad, but seeing half of your favorites are just nudity pics, nothing pornographic, I start to doupt your point of view ^^;

A picture is not pornographic influenced when something like this.. [link] this... [link] or even thiss... [link] ^^;
They are nudity, but most of the parts of the body are, or, not shown, or just covered. ^^;
Just know I don't intend to insult you or something xD;;; But please, know the difference between pornographic art and nudity a bit more =^^= thnx :heart:

Um. . .Why do you make this comment? Did I fave something you find pornographic? I do know the difference, thankyouverymuch. The pictures you point out are pictures I faved BECAUSE THEY ARE ARTISTIC! WE DON"T FAVE SMUT, THEREFORE, THOSE PIX ARE NOT SMUT. Perhaps you should read a little more before making your speech. ^^;

Thanks for the fav;
For more non-smut stuff, check out the ~FineArtNudes club. I'm one of the admins, and we have pretty much the same philosophy you do.

just for curiousity's sake.. would u consider the fav smut? (was it used as an example?) or is that artistic?

I don't totally understand what you mean. . . I surf through the daily faves and am very disappointed in the overwhelming numbers of pure smut found therein. I am most disappointed in the overtly pornographic photos that are in no way artistic (although artistic nudes rock!) and the pictures of pregnant anythings that have been hastily put together and posted (and then, sadly, faved). I have no intention of going out and flaming people who's art I disagree with. I simply started this club because many people felt the same as I do and we can sit here, in our little cornor of dA, and support each other in our similarities and differences. While it is the right of those people to post whatever they want (as long as they follow the dA rules and regs), we don't have to be alone in our common dislike of these deviations.
